|Patrick H||The only "problems" I've experienced with the NVG3550 (I've had two, one in my ZR2 Blazer and my TJ) are a notchy 1-2 shift, and noisy in neutral. Redline MTL substantially helped both issues. Not trying to hijack your thread, sorry.|

|TLATEOTW||they are claiming that it doesn't have all the nv3550 prblems|

|Patrick H||It's hard to beat the 3550, aside from it's inherent noisyness. (Is that a word?)|

|rjacobs||The RSG Terminator would be an upgraded to the NV3550 I would think.|

|Curro||An ax-15 should bolt right in. Not sure I would consider it an upgrade though?|

it is still running but some synchros are going out and some gears are humming, and the famous marble rattle.
I just wanted to see if it is worth rebuilding or upgrading to a better one.

|TJ-GTR||The NV3550 is a fairly stout transmission. I've seen them bolted up to a GM LS1 V-8 with nothing more than a rebuild.|

Bolt on replacement for nv3550
Is there a bolt on replacement for the nv3550 that is considered as an upgrade?
