if you want a better stance for 31s.. id go ahead and get a body lift out of the way..
i run a jks 1.25'' bl.. not only does it give you extra clearance.. if on down the road you do lift your jeep and want to do a tummy tuck, you will need a bodylift..
i ran 31s stock for years and never had any problems.. also.. you can find 1'' bb pucks for real cheap.. i bought 4 of them before i got my acos off ebay for 25 bucks and like 10 bucks shipping.. then you could just keep your factory shocks for now.. cheap, easy, and you could always use the 1'' bbs to level out your liftkit.. my 2'' pc kit and my gfs 4'' pc (procomp) kits sat lower in the front than in the rear by atleast an inch

seriously id stick with the RE monotubes and 2'' bb pucks.. these shocks are great..

|BARKDOG67||I would go with the spring lift if you ever want to go higher you can just buy some cheap spacers to stack on the springs|

|4Jeepn||I would save up and get a nice kit to begin with. 400 for a BB lift is nutz to me. same for a 2" spring lift, as in both cases once you do go higher, the shocks will not swap over.|

|ChrisTX||Get coils. If you ever want to level your Jeep out, or account for added weight of a winch or tire carrier/hard top, you can't exactly add another spacer on top of a spacer.|

id go with the RE bb with monotubes.. i love these shocks..
you'll need to add a 1'' bodylift to fit 33s though.. i got mine from jks with a mml

Rubicon Express 2" Mono vs. BDS 2" Spring Kit
I am interested in purchasing a 2” “Budget Kit” from one of the two vendors below.
Can you please give me any life experience reviews on either?
Rubicon Express 2” budget with upgraded Mono kit approx $409
BDS 2” Coil kit with 5500 series shocks approx $415
To answer some questions that are going to be asked right off the bat:
Yes I did read almost all Suspension threads involving the two kits individually but have not seen them directly compared
Yes this is my daily driver (commute 80 miles round trip, 5 days a week)
Yes I plan on going with a bigger lift in a couple years
Yes I am running my 31” tires for a while until I buy 33" tires
No I do not have a winch or upgraded bumpers yet but do plan on them
I wheel it approximately every week to two weeks in mud, snow and sand because that is all we have on the east end of Long Island. I have not gotten into rocks/climbing YET but will be interested when the opportunity arises.
Bottom line is I want to get a better stance and off-road clearance/capability from the lift.
