rear bumper tire carrier question

Ok so I know that I'm prolly gonna get flamed for this but imma ask anyway, so I have a smittybuilt rear bumper tire carrier combo that I bought before I was a member here, and before I knew better about shitty I mean smittybuilt, anyway I was wondering if anyone has done any mods to the latch mechanism to keep it from rattling so bad, I mean other than that infernal rattle I have no problems with it, I have landed on it more that one time with no damage other than knocking the paint off of it. So was just curious of what others may have done to help with it.
