Neil F. The other way around. Reduced resistance increases the flash rate. The flasher circuit flashes faser when a bulb is burnt out i.e. less resistance. LEDs have less resistance than an incandecent bulb and therefore flash faster.

Joe Dirt If the buld socket is rusted it increases the resistance and makes the signal blink faster. This happened on mine. Clean it and use electrical grease.

stevens243 Yes, he should have put a different relay in to support the LED's. Sounds like he didn't do it, so when you revert, you should be back to "normal".

If you're rears don't come on with the headlights, either he didn't wire them correctly, or they aren't getting the correct power and that will also come back when you revert.

From LED tail lights back to stock question

I have an 03 TJ Rubicon. The previous owner had LED tail lights installed and I am converting them back to stock. I have a couple things I'm trying to figure out:

My signal light flicker rate is very fast! Aside from the actual lights, is there a an electronic mod that people do along with installing the LED lights that I have to reverse? Even when I wire the stock lights in, the flicker rate is still faster than normal? Also, and I'm thinking this must be related, my signal lights do not work while my head lights are switched to on?

Anyway, any suggestions on this would be greatly appreciated.
