|vajeeper1||Im very impressed, heavy, appears to be approx. 1/4 plate, bolted right up, very heavy duty, the shackle mounts are welded all the way through, its is open backed with supports welded in. the welds are pretty thick, but not as pretty as the ones on my rear bulletproof bumper, you get what you pay for there, it does not come powder coated but painted, and the paint was popping off the inside back of mine when I got it, I had to knock the loose stuff off and shoot some rustoleum back there before I mounted it up yesterday.|

To all you guys who have this bumper? How is it? Like does it feel strong? How's the welds?

I've been looking for pretty much the exact same thing. Where did you order it from - and who is the bumper manufacturer?

I bought the heavy duty bulldog winch plate.

Looking at this bumper, what winch plate did you use to mount your warn, and do you have a link to where to buy one?
Thanks, looks good!

Not sure, it didn't come wrapped nor did it include any sort of wrap... Wouldn't think they'd be different but wonder if they packaged it different because yours is synthetic...
What a change it was nice on Saturday and yesterday we go about 10 inches of snow.

|BigDeaner||Lookin' good. Glad to have helped... Why isn't your red cable sheathed in plastic though? Mine came wrapped to protect it from rubbing when run under the hood,|

Install went smooth this morning. Thanks for your pointers, it made it go better than it could have! Even snagged a Hummer after the install

Awesome man thanks! Here is how I am planning to approach it with your advise. I usually have better luck when I plan something out
1. Wire and attach the solenoid to the winch
2. Remove tow hooks and ensure winch plate lines up perfectly
3. Attach winch to winch plate
4 Attach winch plate with winch to the bumper

A set of 3" coils will fix you right up and it is a inexpensive fix. I had the same problem when I added a winch, plate, and bumper to my budget boosted TJ.
I ran 3" springs up front and a rear BB for many years before I re-did everything.

-Make sure your winch plate lines up with your bumper before you mount your winch to it. I had to grind off two tabs that were interfering with mine.
-Make sure you install all lock washers solenoid covers BEFORE you tighten everything down.
-Read the directions 3 times before beginning the install.
-Make sure you have plenty of space (and a decent pair of leather gloves) when laying out the cable and getting it snugged up.
The mistakes I made were careless not paying attention mistakes, but it was my first winch install and I think it went pretty well all things considered.

eh, its only money go for the 4 inch lift with a 3/4 inch spacer...lol
How much does the bulldog bumper weigh? Did you get the synthetic cable or steel?

Bulldog front bumper and Warn installed
Finally got my bulldog bumper and warn VR-8000s all set up . Looooove the look and the winch is awesome. The bumper install was a piece of cake, the winch install was a PITA mainly because I did it myself and a second set of hands would have come in VERY handy.
As you can see in my second picture, I now have a pretty aggressive rake going. I'm running a 2" BB and was wondering how to level her out a little bit. Think 3" coils would do the trick? I'm looking at doing a 4" SL down the road, so I might just hold off until then and live with it.
Let me know what you think
