Newbie in DFW...

New here to the forum. Just bought my first Wrangler today!

Back in the day I had an '85 Jeep Wagoneer (4WD of course, manual 5 spd.). Got to enjoy light off-roading in Colorado and locally here in Texas way back then. Traded it in several years ago to get my wife a "Mom-mobile" back when kids came along. Since then I managed to "accumulate" a couple of Roush Mustangs and a Roush Nitemare pickup...

Fast forward...New Toy... 2004 Jeep Wrangler Sahara that I bought from an individual locally:

5 spd., soft top, half doors, 3" lift (per seller, unknown mfr.), Dana 44 in the rear, 4-wheel discs, light khaki color, typical interior trim/options, no interior rips or cracks, straight body, no visible engine/transmission leaks or mechanical issues. Moto Metal rims w/ 285/75/16 tires.

Does need a major interior cleaning/detail, new tires and a new soft top replacement. But that is easily doable.

Here's my "crowing" point...23,000 miles/2 owners and I only paid $11,000!

It would wholesale at dealer auto auction for $14,000-$16,950 and retail at $18,050-$20,900 with the MILEAGE and condition it is in! (My son works in the car business and has access to complete vehicle history, and current auction/retail prices nationwide) .

This will be my semi-retirement/eventual retirement toy to pull behind the RV. In the meantime, I'll be tricking it out and checking out Jeep activities here in North Texas...

Look forward to hearing from/meeting fellow Jeepers here in the North Texas area to get ideas/tips/suggestions on how to proceed and get started off-roading!

Thanks for reading my post.
