clull05rubi A common way of figuring out how much winch u need is 1.5 times the gvwr of your vehicle. If gvwr is 6000 lbs then minimum of 9000 lb winch is suggested.

caryt IMO nothing less than a 9.5k...a loaded JKU for a weekend can top 6k lbs..their are pros and cons to steel-syn rope..wheel in ice and snow, mud..get steel.

jeepers29 The engo tested well in a side by side competition. MAny will also tell you Warn. I would go with the syn. rope, whatever you get.

clull05rubi I like my quadratec q9500i with synthetic which is priced at 500 or can be had for 350 with steel cable. Works great for anything other then everyday use.
