agreed, im a service tech at discount tire and every day we help out fellow wheelers with a 4 and 4 package (4 wheels, 4 tires) but youd be ok running stock rims and LT265-70-17's, youll love how much sidewall you have once you take it off road, unless you meet a family of nails . and in that case we do free flats and you can purchase certificates for free road hazzard replacement. good luck

32s come stock on most JKs.

Stoplass Thanks for the info guys, I was thinking 32s at the biggest, next question would be where is the best place to get rims and tires? Looking to black out my jeep, also need shipped to Canada

COLOUJK Are you auto or manual?

With a manual 35" is probably as big as you want to go and still have some power.

Auto 33" is about as big as you will want as even with the stock 32s it is still slightly undergeared.

MTH An auto transmission is going to suffer more by going up in tire size. Manuals are better off.

In any event, to keep the gearing issue to a minimum, I'd stick with a 33" AT tire.

reade 33's will be very close to the same as far as gearing goes, as in the speedo will be right. If you go 35's you should consider buying a Procal to set the shift points IF you have an automatic. I went with 33x15, looking back I might have chosen 33x16 as they balance easier but my 15s all balanced fine. I have no problems diving the speed limit and I do drive my daily.

Tjmike04 Well yes you do after u get to a certain size tire u need to change gears. Do u know wat gears you have in it now? You should be ok with 35s once u go to 37s or bigger is usually wen you have to start changing the gears.

Stoplass Would mostly be used for every day driving, off road every once in a while. I've heard that with the bigger tires you need to get bigger gears installed

Tjmike04 My personal opinion is if ur gonna do alot of off roading id do 15 inch rims with 33inch tires this way wen u go over rocks and stuff ur tires still have enough room to flex if u go to 35s theres a possibly wen u off road that ur tires will rub ur flares and inner wheel wells. If ur not gonna do alot of off roading 35s would be a perfect fit. It all depends on wat ur gonna do with your jeep

2010 jeep

Hey guys! Looking for a little advice here. I have a 2010 wrangler unlimited Sahara completely factory, except I just installed a 2 1/2 inch lift and looking to upgrade the wheels. I'm thinking about getting black xd rims, and wanted some help with tire size. I want to go as big as possible without running into the problem of going with bigger gears. Any advice/ recommendations on rims, tire size etc would be greatly appreciated
