legitposter I'd probably take a lot if I went off roading. So far, that hasn't happened. For daily driving the jeep is empty empty empty. Except for the slush mats...

kbwwolf Buncha threads on this, from "I carry only toilet paper" to "never go wheeling without two oxen and a yoke..."

Don't forget Torx bits. And bottled water. And mosquito repellant...

Carlsbad0331 It depends on where I am going, so here are a couple lists.

DAILY (Always in the Jeep)
A complete standard and metric tool kit
(2) tactical lights with replacement batteries
Benchmade folder
(2) pair flex-cuffs
several pair of disposable rubber gloves
2pair of mechanics gloves
100mph tape (2 rolls)
5 minute epoxy
enhanced e-tool
combat hatchet
electrical kit (connectors, tools, tape, testers)
2qt oil
1qt transmision
1qt steering
1gl water(for vehicle)
on board air with hoses and tools
jumper cables
tow strap
lug nut x-wrench

If traveling
All of the above PLUS
Bail out Bag consisting of:
1 complete set of clothes
(2) 2 way radios with throat mics and PTT
(3) MRE w/heaters
enhanced IFAK
(2) tactical flashlights with replacement batteries

2gl water
I also carry ammo and pistol/rifle if mission calls for it.

If traveling with family basically each person will have a bail out bag. And I carry a full EMT kit (tactical rapid deployment trauma kit)and universal surgical kit.

I am in the process of having PALS panels made for overhead(front and rear), door panels, seat backs and tailgate to accommodate more customizable storage.

Tanks Congrats on the new jeep and welcome to the family!!

Fire extinguisher never hurts to have handy.

This is the list of trail gear that a club I wheel with would prefer you have if you are going wheeling but as far as tools, I carry my tool box with me whenever I go out and always have a big box of fuses just in case. That said, you kids with your fancy new jeeps may not need quite the same amount of crap as my YJ.

First aid kit
Extra Prescription Meds in case you get stuck out there
Fire extinguisher (A,B,C, type is reccomended)
Basic Tool Kit for simple repairs like removing your tie rod
ie socket set and a screwdriver set and an adjustable wrench
Durable work gloves
Durable shoes
Air compressor to (air up!)
Tire deflators or a key ( air down)
Air guage (to see where you aired down to)
CB radio
A gallon per person per day of water. Just in Case
Tow strap and tow points
Good Spare Tire
Jack (If you have a lift/bigger tires, your stock jack may not work)
A change of clothes (consider unexpected weather changes)
MRE or extra food in case you have to camp unexpectedly

what gear/tools/stuff do you keep in new jeep?

I just got my first jeep! 2013 sport!

OK plan on daily driving her and doing some off roading.

I'm seeing what you guys recommend to keep handy in the jeep. Kinda like a jeep servival kit of sorts.....

What do you guys recommend for a beginner kit?

Maybe a tow rope/cable/chain?
