Jaxon1023 What does the finished product look like? Write up on adding the scion flip?

DocterWrangler I would love to do some sort of double din custom cutout/panel One day

Motowithy Damn, sorry to hear about the engine and surgery. I'm adding a pic of a flat switch panel I picked up at autozone. This is what I wired the lights and gauges into and I still have two more I can wire into for future stuff like the entry lighting. I could not take a picture of the relay box where the wired go into because I have it tucked and mounted behind the glove box and would be a pain to get out and remount.

Sshunter2022 I just had to order a new engine so my interior work is currently on hold due to funding for supplies. LEDs and paint seem to be a great next step in about 2weeks we shall see if it makes the cut

Sshunter2022 I feel your pain on the surgeries, I just had appendicitis and had to do an emergency surgery in December which I am still on light duty at work. Ill have to check out that website to see about some deals on the LEDs

Motowithy That's funny because I have been thinking of something along those lines. I haven't been able to do much since last June. Had two surgeries on my left shoulder so far and still trying to regain strength and motion back in it. I still have some projects I started but never completed. Hopefully get back to tinkering with the jeep soon. Until then I'm happy checking the forum and adding to my to do list. Streetglow is a really good site/company and has just about any kind of lighting you would need at great prices. If you subscribe to them through email for free they are always having % off sales. I've seen up to 40% off entire order.

Sshunter2022 That's a good idea thanks! U ever thought of hooking up some light strips under the lip that goes around the sides inside and wiring them into the door open switch

Motowithy Yeah I'm the same with the bright light being distracting. What I did was wire them up and adjust the distance further back into the vent channel until the light wasn't super bright and then stuck the disc on. You could do the same with any color to get the brightness where you like it. Also you can play with what wall you mount them on in the vent, top, bottom, left, right to adjust brightness.

Sshunter2022 Interesting... How bright are the lights. I know red is usually a bit more dim than blue and I wouldn't want them to be super bright in there cause I usually find bright lights in a car annoyingly distractive

Motowithy Thanx figured while you had the center out and planning on nice double din radio might give ya an idea for lighting the vents to match your gauges as well. I got the led's from streetglow. Super easy to install, they are made for vents about the exact size and shape of a quarter with sticky backing. Just have to wire them up and your good to go. You could get the blue to match your gauges or any other color... They have many.

Sshunter2022 Those are mine lit up, but I do like yours better but I can't complain cause mine were free

I'm not one for pimped out stuff on a Jeep, but I gotta say, that is bad ass!!! That is on my list!

Motowithy I had those white face gauges. Got them off eBay for like $20. Lasted about a year before the resistor pack fried. Currently using a different one I got off eBay as well but like better. Black background but has reverse glow readouts that glow red and high vis blue or green depending on setting. Ill try to snap a photo tomo night and post it. It matches the red led's I mounted in the air vents. Anyways love what you did with the radio console. Look forward to seeing it with the head unit installed.

rgroesbeck1 Yeah, I like those gauges too. First time I have seen it done. Very nice.

Sshunter2022 My friend who also has a tj bought them and never installed them in his gave them to me. He went with the led route instead. I don't know where he got them. Ill ask him next time I talk to him right now he's deployed.

Pink_Percy Looks good. One question, where did u get the white face gauges?
02-24-2013 03:46 PM
Sshunter2022 install fitted and primed ready for paint

Sshunter2022 I bought a pioneer app radio sph-da02 to go in there. It's touch screen, navi, iPhone, etc. I also replaced all the speakers with polk audio db series 5.25 and 4x6. I've also been in the process of removing the scion emblem like I said I'm filling some holes and smoothing it all out. U won't be able to see scion when it's done.

Wondertwin1 I would like it more if you fill in the "scion" and sand it down. But definitely badass. And that cover will come in handy

I like it! Are you putting a touch screen with navigation behind it?
