NoBoat0429 There are several different permits you can purchase. All require a valid reg and license. Some are county specific. I purchased the state permit for robert moses and democrat point, which is 65$ and has limited availibility. (Feb-april). You can only get this permit at belmont park in suffolk. This is a placard you display in window. I also purchased a suffolk county beach permit which is county specific which is available year round at a few designated park offices for about 120$. This gets me access to beaches in montauk and the hamptons. It's a sticker for the bumper. There is a few other permits for specific parks like caumsett and sunken meadow but as far as i know, these are limited availability.

Due to conditions caused by Hurricane Sandy, Gilgo State Park will be closed until further notice.
**Please Note** Due to winter erosion and unsafe conditions, it has been determined to prohibit 4-wheel drive access on the beach at Gilgo State Park. Sore Thumb access is open.

jchaco Well I've been trying the right permit but I can't find any PDF app or online app. I've tried gilgo beach, bethpage, and Robert Moses and they say I need a permit for 4x4 access but when I click the link it sends me here Long Island Region - NYS Parks, Recreation & Historic Preservation
