I would walk it in. This way you leave with proof you paid and the warrant is clear.

Just keep in mind that MT (mud terrain) would be better for wheeling. Better traction and usually thicker sidewall. Not as good for daily driving though.

I started out with BFG AT and then ended up replacing with GY MT after a few months. Don't be like me!

That's great advice, thank you I will put it on my calendar right now and do that.

I actually said, "I think I can bring it up on my phone" when he handed me the ticket, and I asked if I can just email it or what. That's when he told me I would get info in the mail. The whole thing is just stupid, I can't go over to the court until after a meeting this morning and I'm anxious to just get it settled. It would be nice if they have court in session and I can just go see the Judge while there. I went online last night and printed off 3 copies of the current card!!

Serg5000 Good morning everyone.

Last night I found out what a blowout was like.
I forgot how violent. They are.

Ditchdoc But handing over your phone to a member of the government allows them to go trough it and use anything they can find against you.

XJ_Phil That FTA will go away as soon as you show up this morning and tell the judge that yesterday's letter was the first notice you received, after the nice officer told you to be watching for it in the mail.

"You can imagine my surprise your honor, after he told me the fine would likely be twenty dollars or so. I'm sure it was just an oversight on my part."

You might not want to do that thing with your hair that you girls do. The way this has gone so far, you will probably be standing before a woman judge!

I'm pretty sure the Illegals around here that get citations for no insurance don't show up and don't pay a massive fine. They just head for the boarder......maybe that's my other option, hahaha

Maybe you could head to Big Bear. They'd never find you there!

Lab Lover It should be obvious I wouldn't avoid court for a 20.00 ticket on purpose and risk a warrant or license suspension. I hope they will work with me tomorrow. I had insurance when I got pulled over, my card had expired @ 2 weeks before and since Mike handles that stuff I didn't even know. I also could have looked up the current card on my phone, but since he was letting me off for the 82 mph. I just said thank you and kept my mouth shut. I guess I'll find out tomorrow, even a new court date would give me a chance to get it reduced.

I work across the street from the Court house so I guess tomorrow I will try to get this sorted out. I could use some positive thoughts this way, that's just too much money for a fix it ticket
Had that happen when my precious lab mix pup ate a traffic ticket.
6 months later went to renew my license and I got told there was a warant out for my arrest, hauled put to the court house gave them two of my ribs and made peace with them. Then got my license. Hectic stuff I tell ya

Also, if you show up with a copy of the "proof of Insurance" that was in effect at the time of the original offence, chances are that $20ish fine should kick back in and everybody will be happy again when you pay the clerk on your way out. Good luck with all that!!

Haha. That is a thought. But we currently have a little fire bug that is setting the dead lawns of vacant homes ablaze. Three homes hit so far. Hope the little punk gets caught soon.

XJ_Phil We also have a swamp cooler, but in my 50 year old house, it only blows thru the central hallway and not into the the furnace ducts. I have to say tho, it keeps it pretty cool in here most of the time. Window A/C in our bedroom covers those warm nights and too hot days.

WOKNROX I definitely want to move to solar in the near future. When we first built our house we had to pull the power to the property. ..around 3/4 of a mile and Edison stood in the way of alternative power at that time. Since then they have lift that and others have put in solar. My problem is I want it on a stand on the ground and not on the roof. The roof is a consumable product that will need to be replaced in time. I don't want to deal with the panels at that too.
Phil one of the big pluses of living in the dry climate is the we get to use swamp coolers. I have central air but we only use I once or twice a year if it gets really humid....although we haven't had to this year. We have a whole house Mastercooler system that uses the AC vents throughout the house and can keep my house in the low 70's when it over a hundred outside. It uses the the same amount of power as a ceiling fan.

I pull my water out of the ground myself. I have a 400ft well. As for the front yard I have a 4000sqft yard with 3 stations that run 3 minutes each twice a day. Once just before the sun comes up and the other just as the sun goes down. Now for the secret to a green lawn....it's cow poopy. I get it from the cattle farms in the area and use it on the grass. I also on my 50 or so trees....keeps everything nice and green.

Now if we all could just get LA County to stop using up everyone else's water (because they don't have any water of their own) and start drinking ocean water we wouldn't have to worry about water anymore.
My dad had a roping arena at his place and always had lots of cattle, we used steer manure for all the yards and it works amazing. Mike and I even brought in a load when we landscaped our yards here. The neighbors were bbqing and weren't real happy with the smell as we spread it though, haha.

I grew up with well water and it was amazing, I don't like our community tap water near as much. We went solar about 8 years ago, it cost us 65,000 for the setup on our 3,000 sq. ft. house. We got 25,000 back with the tax credits and rebates. We paid it up front since they didn't have any finance options at that time. My bill runs 4.32 a month now to cover the taxes. My bill before was around 300.00 per month since the kids were home, it's stupid the amount we pay for electricity here and Diablo Canyon is just up the road. I generate quite a bit more than we use each month, of course PG&E just sells that to the guy next door
