Going to have to clearance the front driveshafts a bit other than that all seems well. Funny that it feels stable with one wheel of the ground

What power plant are you running in the tube buggy? Is it being built for competition?

Heuster Well shall see. Found one we like so see what I can get for the LJ and how much they drop price.

Serg5000 Five years ago when we bought our JKU there were four of us. We went everywhere. Now there are only two. My wife and I. The back seat folds down and my ARB fridge took the place of our kids. Plenty of room for all our camp gear and food. We love it. We don't take many of our friends out since 99% of them have new babies. We are now the black sheep. We don't mind.

That's why I'm looking Bob. Need the family crawler. Tahoe will come after second kid for the the wife since I'll have a take home ride for a few years I hope.

I found mine was fine with two kids. Once we had a third, started to see how it wasn't going to be the best family vehicle.

The LJ is a pain to get a kid seat belted in the back. Had to teach my 5yo to do it himself.

Ditchdoc Checking scuba gear for lobster opening. I've been skunked two years in a row and skipped last years opening. Hopefully this year is good.

I just switched from a JKU to an LJ. I found the JKU was great for two kids in the back, not so nice for 3. I'm looking to get a Tahoe or something similar with a third row seat in a year or so.

I usually only take my 5 yo to school. In the LJ I had to teach him to buckle his own seatbelt since even being 6' 1", it's hard to reach the seatbelt buckle from the outside.

But then again,if he gets a new truck we may not need the Cherokee right away. He has an 04 F350 crew cab, long bed and its got170,000 miles. The thing is beat to heck and he loves it the Ac stopped working when he came home from Big Bear and it was 105. He finally admitted he may have to get a new one.
The new 6.7 fords seem to hold up nice. I had a fleet of the old international fords with 6 something's and 7 something liter engines and they always had issues. I switch to the kodiak gmc best power plant I have ever seen. Unfortunately they stopped selling the the truck domestically. We are talking heavy commercial use here. Like 60 to 85k miles per year at 75% gvw load regular and over 100% gvcw from time to time. The current truck in driving is a ford with a 6.7 and has 50k without a issue very rare for a ford truck this one is running at 100% gvw all day but doesn't see the use like my other place did. I don't own this one so just to say I'm not that nice to it. Good luck shopping that about all I can say about the big trucks. One thing I have notice in the current truck the doors no longer align perfectly. This is a indication of frame twist. Don't know if it's from the weight or the build of the bed.
