duffer If you have not joined the Early CJ 5 forum, DO IT NOW!!!!

Absolute best place for round fender CJ info through 1975.

Not to mention there are no adds so it runs like lightning compared to here.

Goofyjumper I needed more seat room too....

So I added 20" to the body and frame:

Little more than a weekend mod though...

Cutting into the wheel well will give you an inch or two, but eats up precious cargo space as you move seats rearward.

Took six months to do a full restoration job on my CJ, if I had only stretched it, I probably could have done that in a month... not nearly as hard as a lot of people might think. I bought a sheet of 16 ga steel and make all the new body panels. Then I bought some 2"X4" 3/16 tubing and made new frame rails.

Mike Gardner I've got a boxed frame, 1" super lift, extended drivers seat and modified drivers wheel house. Also running 31x9.50 Super Swamper TSL radials. 15" CJ5 wheels.

I'm building a narrow offset Dana44 and Dana30 with lockers and discs.

Boxed frame,

Warn M8000

Plus LED lighting. I'm using all LED lights so I can turn the lights on and not kill my battery. I did a 12 volt conversion but it still hurts it. I also did Pertronix Ignition and a single wire GM Alt.

bc3_Jeep On mine...... actually cut out the fender well...... to fit seat INTO it...... then put sheet metal back in the hole...... not pretty.... but functional.....
