So far this morning I was doing 75 and it was just as quiet as my premium stock soft top. Funny thing is the front half of the vinyl top lifts up at speed so it is probably 1.5" or more off of the lateral support bar over the drivers head. When you stop it rests on that bar. No noise just balloons up even without any windows open.

I've heard without the back windows on the back flap that covers the top edge of the rear window flaps in the wind and some have used a heavier bar in place of the rear bow.

It took me an hour or maybe 1.5 hours. Pretty easy really just had to make sure it was soft in the sun.

Disclaimer is it was 38F here this AM so the top was SUPER tight since the fabric constricted since install yesterday where it was full sun at low 60's with no wind. When I put the fabric portion on the Jeep it was bathwater warm so not scalding and with the right order of operations it wasn't too bad to get on.

ET550 After 11 months of ownership I figured it was time to make a few subtle additions. Just installed Mopar hoodlock, Maximus 3 low profile hoop, KC LED headlights and Inspired Engineering 3.5" Revolver led spots (still need to wire). Metalcloak rear seat support, and Magnaflow 15160 black dual exhaust.

I did a lot of research before doing that and found it to be a common problem. Very bad design....go figure. Net net is I never ended up taking my end caps off based on all the forum feedback to my questions. Along with phone calls to after market shops who do custom bumper work.

Suggest for anyone considering it....once the end caps come off....they're off. Don't have hopes of putting them on or off easily.

fegan Planned mods for my 2014 JKRX include:

Antenna X (haven't decided if I'll go with the 13" or 5"), Warn winch (either the Zeon 10-s or 9.5 cti-s) and a Maximum-3 hoop.

After I've worn out the original tires I'll be adding a TeraFlex lift (2.5" or 3") and some 35" Nitto Mud Grapplers...haven't decided on wheels yet (if I can squeeze these tires on the stock rims I may go with spacers).

I've been thinking about it. I had my soft top on all winter, and I don't think that I'll ever really want it back on, but I have not yet pulled the trigger on ditching it.

I ordered a full setup with 7" screen from Costco to see what I can do to make it work. It allows for up to 3 cameras...I'm think backup, front and under rear. If I can't get it to work, just return it....only $200...

Agreed! It really is too steep...I do like the mounting bracket, but if you aren't using factory wheels it's pretty much worthless.

Not long ago someone did a great write up on installing a camera using Lockpick and another with Nav tv. I'll be going the Nav tv route, at about half the price.

Poison spyder mount and I did have it painted white to match. Light bar is Blackbox Logistics. It's really bright. I have a plasmaglow switch mounted to the a-pillar to turn it on/off.

FAP Has anyone installed the 285/75/17 E rated KM2's on your 10A without a lift? Just wondering about the fitment and functionality. The are only approx. 6 lbs heavier than the 265's, but would provide some additional height without other major mods. I believe they can also be used on the stock wheels without spacers etc., any pro's/con's? Pictures would be welcomed.

Would they have worked with 37 inch KM2's with your set-up?
