UgaTyler I painted my headlight bezels this afternoon. I was checking the connection on one of the lights and then I just spontaneously decided to do it. I have considered doing this several times and I have even considered painting them red but ultimately I decided it would look best black. I can't believe I waited so long to do this. Before and after.

StarBrite Can't wait to see the new look, Tyler!

UgaTyler i got my front aluminum Genright fenders in a few weeks ago and today I ordered the rear fenders. I can't wait to get these in and send them off to get powder coated or painted (still deciding).

The Jeep is about to get a transformation.

The paint on everything except the fenders has been fine. I have a decent amount of rash on my fenders from rocks. My Jeep has the painted fenders so that's to be expected a little. I clean the Jeep often and you have to if you want to keep a black vehicle clean looking. If you go with black you will either have to spend time babying it or live with it dirty.

It was definitely me! Ha! Thanks for the return wave!

UgaTyler It's hard to see in this picture but I trimmed my pinch seams this afternoon. With a reciprocating saw (sawzall) and a dremel, it really wasn't that hard. Trimming the Rubi rail was much tougher than the pinch seam. I was surprised at how tough those Rubi rails are. I ended up cutting about 4" off the Rubi rail and then angling the pinch seam accordingly. Took me longer to get the Rubi rails on/off (had to loosen my ace rails) than it did to make the cuts.

Hopefully I will get the "go" to order the other half of my Genright fenders this weekend.

Personally I'm a fan of the look without them. Mainly because it shows off your Spyder LED's better. But to each their own, ya know?

Nice, I was thinking about this and I am probably going to stick with 33"s. Now I know it will look awesome !! Always thought these type of carriers were designed / built for larger tires. Great build you have there... !

Thanks guys. These are 33.5" tires. I hope to be moving up to a bigger size soon. I have the first half of my genright fenders on the way and then I will order the back set as funds allow. As soon as I get the fenders on I will be moving up in tire size.

Genright Tire Carrier

I installed the Genright Aluminum Tire carrier this evening. Install was very easy and went smooth with no setbacks. How many times can you say that????

Tire carrier looks awesome!

Trapjaw Came out great!

UgaTyler I have started the painting process on the tire carrier. I was going to powder coat it but then decided to save $200 and do it myself with rustoleum truck bed liner. Recently a friend wanted me to paint his bumper with this product and it turned out great so... The decision was made.

Attached below are a few of the pics I snapped during the process.

First I used some 400 grit sandpaper and scuffed the tire carrier up some. Next I used mineral spirits to clean the carrier good making sure not to touch it with my bare hands. I put 3 coats of self etching primer on and then 5 coats of bedliner. It's hard to tell by the pictures but the carrier looks fantastic. Now if I bang it on something I will be able to fix it myself.

Hope to install this Friday.

Thanks!! I am actually not a fan of most tire carrier delete's either but to install the tire carrier that I am going to install this weekend, it needed to be done. It's definitely better than just leaving all the holes in the tailgate.

UgaTyler The tire carrier came in today so I took the old carrier off and installed the Poison Spyder Tramp Stamp (with colored vinyl behind the logo). I also installed the last Vector UFO. The UFO's delete the holes left in the tailgate.

It will be a few days before I will be able to install the tire carrier. I have already sanded, and primed it and will add some rattle can liner to it tomorrow. Hopefully this weekend I will have it installed.

I got a yellow 2001 TJ and while it crossed my mind to do a GA Tech scheme im way to much of a DAWG fan to ever fly those colors. Keep on doing this great original build you got going on and best of luck to you and yours.

20" light bar off eBay for cheap. It does fit great and it's bright. I couldn't justify the big brands when i got this for less than $100 shipped.

UgaTyler On another note, I just purchased the front of Genright Aluminum flat fenders. I'm not quite ready to install the fenders so I am spacing the purchases out so my wife doesn't kill me. I'll purchase the back fenders in the next few months.

I stole this picture of the internet to show the fenders that I will be installing.

UgaTyler I am still waiting on the Genright Tire Carrier and so I haven't installed that (obviously) or the Poison Spyder tramp stamp. I have installed two of the vector UFO's and the Rugged Ridge grille mesh. It's hard to get a good picture of the UFO's so I am going to wait until I install the tramp stamp to show pictures of those.

Here is a picture of the Rugged Ridge Grille Mesh followed by my exhaust which I painted flat black with VHT, Very High Temp spray paint (matte Black).
