I just had the conversation with the manager of one of the local 4wheelparts here. They arent here.. he gave me a price on the Rockhard version, but suggested, if I am not in a hurry, to wait and see if they arent here this Spring.

Shark_13 I just call the places now before ordering to make sure it's in stock.

Yeah in my YJ the OP made a custom front cage and the tubing I couldn't even wrap my hand around almost and there was no bend so the tube went straight to the floor and no bends. So everytime I wanted to roll down the window I had open the door and roll down.

EMTJEEP No problem. Since it has the pillars it will be more stout and you will be more safe. Just a side note though they do require some minor welding. If you know someone with a welder it's pretty easy or you can always go to your local college and go to the auto shop and have the students weld it in for you, usually for free too. Or just get a shop to do it.

I would look into these kits if you are more concern about the front folding in on you.
But the SmittyBilt cage does look nice and back when I had my YJ I was looking into getting it. But having it be bolt on is always a concern when dealing with safety.
Thanks for this info! I really like the BTF cage by blue torch fab works. Half the price and looks like more protection

Smittybuilt SRC roll cage

Has anyone have any experience with this. After watching you tube videos of rollovers and watching the windshield fold like an accordion I want to add some more protection. I don't have access to a welder and tube bender to make my own. One thing I see on this kit is it looks like the front tubes mount to the dash not to the floor or frame. Wondering if it help in a rollover just mounted to the dash. Seems weird thinking about spending $600 on something I hope I would never use, but would be good piece of mind.
