ramhunter9 I sent ya a few PM's .. thanks for the help.

After digging the part number of the shock up on the net .. looks like my lift is over 3" so I ordered the spacers for the exhaust.

This thread was awesome and helped me out a ton!

Running 295/70-18's if that matters
TF redesigned their shocks last year some time, made em shorter so the spacer wouldn't be a requirement with their 2.5" lift. If your shocks are older, then the PO probably just didn't install the spacer.

If you jack up your Jeep and check it at full droop you'll be able to tell if it's gonna hit or not.

Ex Umbris Currus Long piece is passenger side and short is drivers. I didn't follow the directions exactly...I used a ratchet strap and pry bar to pull back on the exhaust instead of popping the weld to slide it back.

^^ Yup. I should've clarified. My bad.

It installs to your exhaust pipe to give you clearance btw the exhaust crossover and your stock front ds when you run shocks longer than 25" (which can give you too much down travel if you disco your sway bars). Only needed on the 2012s and up.

RKracing You do not need the spacer if you install a new front driveshaft upon installing the lift. The aftermarket driveshafts are a smaller diameter than the factory driveshafts and therefore will not rub all the metal around it.

kbwwolf Eventually, you'll need new driveshafts, too.

daggo66 If you have a 12 or newer, they are correct.

Exhaust Spacer on 4" Lift Kit

Hey Everyone,
I spoke to an off road suspension store for installation for my lift kit and they said that an exhaust spacer is needed to complete the lift on my Jeep. Are they blowing smoke up my ass or do I in fact need one. Any help would be great. TIA!
