Quinnzeeskimo Maybe we should try to get something together. Do y'all think we could gain an interest with maybe like a Facebook page or something?
Start our own super awesome group haha

Quinnzeeskimo Sweet, I'll have to look into those as well, been looking for a group to join too

DANIMAL I thought I was subscribed to this thread.....now I am.

If anyone is still interested, WI4x4.com is a forum based group of people. All rigs are accepted. Most of the members have Jeeps, but there is a big variety. I have only wheeled with them a couple of times (nothing recently) but every time my family and I have been welcomed in. They are a great bunch of people.

I was in kaukauna workin at night, all the power went out. a tornado touched down/ stopped about a block from where I was. I was by Basset mechanical on 55 and 00

sorry it took so long to respond, I just today got a notification.

power went out around 1 am, didn't come back on til 630 am.

I went out and about and checked out the damage it was horrific!
Glad you guys are all fine!

winter has been brutal, no dissapointments from my 01 tj either.
Today I pulled an unmarked squad car off the top of a snowbank right next to my daughters school. I love this Jeep! That cop was so happy I pulled him out. unfortunately he had no tow hooks. <ha> and I told him, I am not responsible for any damage, and asked him if he still wanted me to pull him out. It was so easy! Like a fart in the wind
I finally got a 1.25" body lift, 1" engine mount lift, and 31x10.5 tires. <Mickey Thompson's> and a tow strap... 4 very wise investments!

I need to get out into the open one of these days! I don't have a weekend off until next year....
before.... and after...

Quinnzeeskimo Congrats on the new Jeep! And I don't have any ideas for you

Papa-Tango Lorna Lucille has arrived, and unfortunately so has the snow. Anyone ever do any wheelin' in the snow? She needs her maiden voyage on the trail... any trail. Suggestions?

Quinnzeeskimo Sounds like some good fun, I just got my first jeep not to long ago, it hasn't seen any mud yet. I only wish I could go to places like that, it would be so sweet. But there's like nothing in Wisconsin for good mudding unless you know someone with land to do it on

Well, if Lorna gets here before the snow starts, I'm in! (I wheeled in my '04 Rubi for 2 years without any mods... Tahoe, Nevada, and Hollister CA)

Papa-Tango I'm in SE WIsconsin... Walworth County. I'm on my fourth Jeep now. Started with a 1994 Wrangler with just a set of 33s and a body lift. Move up to a '66 CJ5 Rock Crawler, but I didn't build it, so I bought an '04 Rubicon and put a 6" FabTech longarm kit, 35s, 4.56 gears, bumpers and a Congo Cage. But then with a brand new child seat, I needed a 4-door, so I got an '08 Unlimited Sahara. Now I have a 2014 Rubi "scheduled for production." Can't wait for delivery. So I'm looking for places to go in the spring. Pipeline looks like a good place to go. How do I get in with the WI4X4 group? Anyone know?
09-09-2013 09:50 PM
Quinnzeeskimo Heck yeah! A ride through the pipeline sounds like a blast! I should be available to do something at the end of the month. I'm from Oshkosh by the way

lostagain The pipe line looks like more fun then I've been told about, going to try to get up that way this fall during to colour change

I'm actually going the day after that. Just use google maps and decide where you want to enter. And make sure you have recovery points and a friend that has recovery points too. Have fun

Chili TJ I'm going to be at the Pipeline in Crivitz this month! I'm going Saturday the 31st with a friend and we are spending the day there. We are starting on Pipeline Road which is off of Sleeter Road. This seems to be the farthest south you can enter the pipeline. We are just heading north till we run out of daylight

I'll be sure to take pictures and tell my fellow Wisconsin jeepers how the trail was.

I live out in Greenville. We got hammered. I used to be able to see two barns from my house. Not anymore. They weren't damaged, they were leveled. Trees, power lines, campers, barns all down around us. If that wasn't a tornado, I'd hate to be in one.

Tlzkaasen Hey Zmallory,

Yes, i'm just down the road in Okauchee. I'm always up for a get together at some point. My Jeep is getting a little make over this fall/winter.

What she looks like now. 88 YJ 4 banger / 31's / 4 body lift

Winter/Fall plans - 8.88 conversion, re-gearing to allow 33's with that 4 cylinder, ditch the body lift and go to a real 4" lift. Local guy will take care of BEYOND my scope and TIME. Then some new 33's and rims. Next Spring we'll concentrate on the interior

zmallory Hey Danimal/Tlzkaasen, or any other Lake Country area Jeeper, I live in Hartland, we should should hook up sometime. Also if you need help doing any work on mods let me know..

I have an 06 TJ with 5" total lift and doing a bell-up SYE/driveshaft upgrade right now so its on jackstands until thats done.

Any plans for trips next year? I'm hoping to get to one of the Jamborees maybe.

I live in Pewaukee and have wheeled a couple of times on the Pipeline in Crivitz with the group from WI4x4.

I started with a used 06 TJ. Lifted it 2-1/2" and put 31s on it. With my wife and son coming along, there was not enough room. Traded it for an 07 Unlimited Rubicon. Traded it July 2012 for a 2012 Chevy Volt. I figured that the gas savings would outweigh the loss of having a Jeep. In October of 2012 my wife traded her 2012 Ford Edge for a used 09 Unlimited Rubicon. In Feb of this year, I traded my Volt for a 2013 JK Sport.

Now I am much happier.

Here they are.

Captain Ed The Pipeline was a good time. Its located generally in the Nicolet National Forest on its east boundry. I went in off of Cauldron Falls road and went south. I did not go north that day but I ran into some guys from Manitowoc that said it wasn't real great to the north. The first 3 or 4 miles down toward Thunder Mountain was OK. Some good rock to climb or go around but nothing terrible that you couldn't get by. I ran into a snow fence near Thunder Mountain and I had to turn around and go thru forest roads. Had some fun in some mud holes but I was with the wife and 2 daughters without a winch so I had to be careful. You can get to the pipeline off of County W also. This is the google look at the entrance at Hwy W.

Play with this to see if it helps get you there.

It was my wife and daughters first time out and my wife told me that next weekend we have to bring a lunch. She is hooked. She also learned why we need a new bumper/winch/lift and tires. It was a very good trip. BYW I also had to teach her what a snatch block does but that's for a different forum. I left a few pics to look at. The forest roads are fun also. The Jeep was small enough to fit in the small 2 track. Hit some water and sand. It was a good time and we had the top off. 74 degrees and no bugs. Beautiful day.

Spaste19 So is this pipeline easy to find? Have heard about it but never have been up there. Anything to know about it before going?

How was the pipeline? I heard some of it has been shut down? Was there decent areas to wheel?
