Omar Brannstrom Hi

Maybe more info here

The hot new 2011-2013 Jeep Wrangler and Wrangler Unlimited - see the changes with new engine, transmission, interiors, and tops

ratchettt The automatic transmission in manual mode shifts up and down between 1 and the highest driver selected gear in in 2H, 4H, and 4L on the 2012's

The protocol was silently (the Owner Manual was not revised to reflect the change) changed on the 2013's. In automatic manual mode in 2H and 4H, once the transmission downshifts from the highest driver selected gear, it will not up shift back to the driver's highest selected gear. Thus, in manual mode when coming to a stop, the transmission will successively down shift from 5 to 4 to 3 to 2, all the way to 1 and stay in that next lower gear until the computer commands a further downshift(which becomes the new highest gear) or until the driver manually changes it.

In 4L, both shift protocols operate like the 2012's.

AgBullet Also also map lights on the auto-dim rearview mirror. 5W-20 (2013) oil vs. 5W-30 (2012), but I won't get into whether that's an actual change or not.

Steffen1601 Also, the 2013 (my JKU Sport) comes with two windshield washer nozzles instead of one for the 2012 as well as map lights built in to the rear view mirror

Drmad7 I've never sat in a '12, traded my 08. In the 13, there is interior lighting in the footwells. And the TPMS system shows individual tire pressure of each tire. Those are the things I know about for sure.

relyt There are LED accent lights in the cup holders and in the footwells. They also changed the TPMS sensors and they're not interchangeable with earlier years. I think the only wheels that are different are on the Rubicons, but I'm not sure.

There is also the option of an auto dimming rear view mirror. I think there are a couple more changes, but I can't remember them off the top of my head.

2013 vs 2012 changes

Not sure if this is somewhere else but I couldn't find it. What exactly are the differences between the 2012 and 2013? Other than seats, wheels, and colors. Read something about interior lighting somewhere but I'm not sure. Thanks
