You don't need to necessarily have a strap on each corner. I have a center strap on my front end that keeps everything from unloading hard and focuses all my flex out at the ends of the axle. I have everything setup to where I never have a spring coming out.

Rawkon haha i had a thread a while back about using limit straps for that exact reason. All i got was flack for it. Ive been using limit straps for about a year now with no more coil pop out issues. ive completed 2, 300mile high speed desert trips with no issues and lots of full cycling. this last trip we were hitting 2' - 2.5 foot woop sections a 30 to 40mph. and many a rock trail with lots of flexing and no more coil pop out issues. air bumps are next on my list.

It's cheaper than a full set of coil-overs?

Most likely that infamous spring got hung up when the track bar shifted the axle to the driver side when it when up on the lift.

1BLKJP Goat, lovin the rear double triangulated. However I'm curious as to why that spring is coming off the bottom of the perch instead of dropping down?

When you gonna ditch that damn radius arm setup up front?

relocating the shocks to outboard lets you run a longer travel shock, and I feel a more stable feeling. air bumps are nice, maybe in a few month I will look into getting some.

Rawkon awseome man, how much benefit did you get by relocating the shocks. Im really seriously considering doing exactly that to mine. Im building a 8.8 and am also gonna be adding air bumps to the rear inside the coils.

I understand what your saying, but this is not a new to the jeep world system. Its a TnT/Treks system which has been a proven proformer. I will let you know and I will post pics of the coils for you when I get a chance to flex it. Im picking the jeep up saturday morning and will try to get some pics up sunday night.

Something to think about. If the spring is ridding up vs staying on the pad, and you flex it, as it is shown in the picture, it may hit the lower bumpstop pad and may come out. if ya use a spring retainer at the bottom then it should stay in the spring cup and even if it comes out up top it will still get guided back as the upper post will act like a guide.

AzTJ Sweet - I love the low and huge tire look. Are those the high-clearance fenders or just stock replacements?

Not a problem for the spring to come off the spring pad alittle, its really not a concern. The limit straps are there to keep from topping out my shocks. Bact to the coils, if you look at the picks one dropped and the other is up. Anyway we will so find out if we need to tweak anything and I will let you guys know how it performed good or bad and what was done to correct it.

Thanks for the compliments, the shock hoops are not a new product just something I asked for thats alittle different. I will let you know how the rear handles after Moab. The wheelbase was stretched 3 3/4" the most we could get without changing my gen-right tank for another. Its also sitting on 2" coils now, so when I do post pics of the complete jeep I will be ready for the low rider in the weeds comments.

4Jeepn Looks good. only thing I would check would be the front spring and why its coming off the spring pad, considering there is a limit strap that should not be the case. That and I would rather see it coming down from the top not being sucked upwards.

That means nothing. His skid has a Gen-Right sticker on it, and says "crawler"... so he probably has one of their crawler stretch tanks... and his rear fenders are almost at the edge of the tub. I'm guessing it has a little stretch. Just looking for a measurement.

whats with the location of the limiting straps? ive never seen them located in the places they are on your rig..

hopefully the d35 can keep up with the abuse.. im actually shocked that thats what rearend your running =X

aztj.. im gonna go out on a limb here and say hes got a stock wheelbase.. look at his gastank in the stock locations and the rear tube fenders arent comp cut or stretched it looks like.. i may be wrong tho =p

like i said on JF.. your rig was one reason ive been debating longarms vs shortarms.. so you'll have to give me some info on which you prefer..
