|solman||I'm about an hour south of Harrisburg. Maybe 3hrs from Philly.|

Ahh, a Vfd now I understand. Thats awsome to have a machine shop in your garage. Your jeeps a beast and thanks for sharing the vids.
Where is southern PA are you located? I grew up in the Chadds Ford (~30 miles from Philly) area of PA and transplanted myself out West.

|solman||Thanks guys. Mike, yes the lathe and mill are in my garage. The lathe is single phase 220v and the mill is 3phase 230v but it is powered by a variable frequency drive (Vfd) that plugs into single phase 220v and puts out 3phase 230v. Dbg , I just added 15" to the straight section of the tj cage. It's tight bringing the top down but it clears. Here's a video from one of my trips to Rausch Creek over the summer. http://youtu.be/mPZMj7rumFs|

Did you end up altering the tj roll cage to get the lj top to fold over the rear bend. Mine just barley passes over it with some encouragement. I got a chance to measure a roll bar on an lj today I see why now. Wondering if you had the same issue.

|Mike_M||solman: Been following along and this is one amazing build. You are one master craftsman. I was wondering, do you really have a machine lathe & and a milling machine in your garage? If so I am curious how they are electrically configured, as usually they are 480V, 3-phase. Thanks!!|

Now I just need to take care of some odds and ends but for the most part it is done!!! For now at least
|06-08-2014 08:26 PM|
I busted ass to get it done in time for the local monthly "Jeep night" at https://www.facebook.com/pages/CR-Bucks/219876224704591 Its a local resturant whos owner is a jeep guy.
|06-08-2014 08:24 PM|
I also ran the brake lines and wired the new LED tail lights, put the gas tank back in and ran my lines.
Here it is at ride height after the first test run.

Its alive!!! After 9 months in the garage I drove the jeep Friday night.
Heres what kept me busy the last 2 weeks, Bent the stock front sway bar so it would clear the new track bar mount.
Added the sway bar links to the front axle
Made the strut brace the tie the coil over hoops together and stuffed the stock air box back in.
Mounted the hydro assist ram

Looks good. I bought ford buckets for mine but decided to build a cross member and angle them in so that I could use longer shock.
What length shocks are you using in the back?
|05-19-2014 08:22 PM|
Outboarded one of the rear shocks yesterday, I'll get the other one this week.
