for short "day trips" you can wheel solo-

Red sands

Ft Bliss driving course- at spur 601 and chaffee, head north about 200 yards, there's a berm (hill) on the west side of the road, go over the berm. Keep an eye out for the off limits signs, there's a large area they don't want trucks in, it's marked pretty clearly. Respect the signage so they don't shut it down... it was unofficially closed down to private vehicles for a few years due to stupidity (mostly involving guns, but jeepers get rolled up with it if they ignore signs and tear up the foliage).

Sunland park area- west side, take the sunland park exit off I-10, go west until you hit the boonies (you'll know when you see them), and scout around some, there's tons of short trails out there... mostly flat and kind of boring, but there's a few decent hills and wadis...

Where are the trails in El Paso TX. Red sands is ok but I want to go on a trail run
