Thank you for contacting the Jeep Information Center.
According to our records, there were 3,374 Jeep Wrangler units equipped
with the Moab Edition Package. Of those vehicle, 102 units were also
built in Dune Clear Coat paint.

I've added the ACE total package, front/rear bumpers, carrier, and rock rails.
I will say this regarding the paint issue; when removing the stock inner fenders you can see that they did scrimp on the paint under this area. The inner void that runs between the firewall and the front doors is completely DUNE-less; just that blueish primer. I just hit it with some undercoating and that was that.
I really need to upload some more pics. I'm pathetic in that area.

Thanks for destroying stereotype I had of females not liking Dune!

|Capt911||No paint issues here, and I think I have touched every panel on this jeep.|

Dune no longer available?
Looks like Dune is no longer available, except for Rubicon and Freedom Edition. At least the Jeep.com build site doesn't let one select Dune for Sport, Sahara and Willys models.
If this is true -- and not just a website glitch -- I'm glad I ordered it while I could. Took delivery last weekend; looks better in person than photos. Black and tan like my dog. I'm happy.
From the comments it sounds like Dune was definitely not popular with wives and GFs and female Jeepers. Definitely a guy's color. Maybe that doomed it?

|JKBrad||All of them are. They scrimp there because it's covered by the padding.|

I noticed this one mine as well. I got a Dune JKU built in April. I didn't see it by the hinges, but now I am gonna check it out. I found the paint was done lightly on the roll bars. I unzipped one of the covers on one side and saw it was painted really lightly. I kinda cringed at it, and then zipped it back up.
Is anyone else's jeep painted lightly on the roll bars underneath the black nylon covering? I didn't think much of it, but if I ever take off the covering, I am sure it looks that way all over it. What should I do, if anything at all?

|JRBock||I worked with Jeep to get pictures of my paint issues with my NEW JKU in Dune. They looked at pics for about an hour and told me to pound sand.|

|Davosdad||Thanks, JKBrad. That helps with my searching. Found some pictures with the exact same problem. Now for more searching to see what Jeep's response has been.|

Your Rig looks amazing! Very Nice Dune!
This is one I was looking into purchasing below. However I have decided to hold off and view Amp'd color before I make my final decision on my 14' JK Sahara in White, DUNE , or Amp'd
The Black JKU is my old Jeep

I have a 3 month old Dune 2013 JKU Sahara that was manufactured in March. I noticed what appears to be a blue base paint coat showing through on the hood where the hood hinges attach, on the doors behind the hinges and some other locations. It looks like the Dune paint was not sprayed to cover those surfaces.
I took it to my dealer this morning and ended up having about 5 different folks look at it, including the head of service and head of the paint shop (Not because I asked or was angry, but because the problem must have required the head-guys to resolve). They took a bunch of photos of the problem areas and said they would contact Jeep to figure out what to do.
Have any of you experienced the same problem? Any suggestions on how I should approach the problem with Jeep? The thought of painting my brand new JKU does not sit well with me.

I ordered them knowing I would have a wait and it took about 5-6 weeks to get them. I will say that if you are leaning towards an LOD rear bumper and tire carrier AND sliders to call LOD directly. They will work with you and get you a bit of a better price.
....aaaaand just to add another pic(i have no kids so this is my baby that Ill shove in your facce whether you like it or not lol) to the thread

My build is just getting started and I currently have a JCR bumper and engo winch that should get mounted next week
Next on the list is sliders and I am trying to decide between LoD and TnT customs if anyone has some input!

^^Nicely done! I have to say this thread hit a major wall, How is everyone liking their Jeeps? Hey Strizzy are those LoD sliders? if so would you mind posting up more pics?
Edit: Just read your signature, How are you liking the sliders? they take a beating pretty well? How long did you have to wait on them, I heard it takes LoD a while

Lets see your updates!
Now that everyone has had their Dunes for a few months, I'd like to see the changes/mods/growth/route/twists that everyone went with(please list specs). All my specs are in my signature bar, as well as a link to my build thread.
Here's mine as she sits today.
I showed you mine...now show me yours!
