Tx 91 YJ It's probably the switch on the tcase. I gave up on trying to fix mine. I have a tj passenger shaft to get rid of that all together. I have not installed it bit when I need 4wd I pull off the vac hose plug and turn it 180 degrees. That provides vac to the proper side to engage the front axle. If it still doesn't engage then it's a fork issue. Good luck!

I have an 89' wrangler yj that i cant get the front end to lock. my jeep has the vaccum system and ive made sure all hoses are where they belong and has vaccum but the fork that locks the front end isnt moving. im not sure if its the little plunger that issnt working any more or if im just doing something wrong. if anybody has any idea or any type of solution that wont cost much it would really help. trying to get it ready for the wheelers for the wounded warrior ride in may
