possible heater problem

hi ya, so my heater has not been working well the past month... i am not that concerned about it now but a flush was planned for week after next. the thing that concerns me is this morning i was on my way to an all day meeting when i noticed that my gauges were starting to condensate between the gauge and the clear plastic. the engine temp was going up to 210 when i was stopped and then down to 200 when i start off but it fluctuates between 195 and 210 wildly. it usually stays at about 208 all the time. i just got home and i dont have any light nor energy to check water levels and do a visual inspection. its a '93 4.0, i am not sure if anyone needs any other info.
