They are more along the lines of headers. Tubular manifolds like on our Tj's. Cast iron manifolds are a thing of the past. There are alot of myths about torque Vs hp. Ive seen single plane intakes produce more torque than dual planes.

Dont bother with manifolds. Get a set of shorty headers from hooker. Also if your gonna put in a small block dont waste your time with a 305. Takes just as much to put in a 350 as it does a 305.

ScottyTJ So.....any ideas on this? I have a build in progress also, will be putting in a 305 or a 350 Chevy, probably headers, and am wondering what to do with exhaust. It doesn't have to be excessively loud or anything, but I don't want it so restrictive that it robs power. (Although, admittedly, it will probably have way more power than it actually needs.....) And of course it would be nice if it sounded like a V8.

If yer gonna be doing any crawling i would suggest upgrading the carb to a new bolt on EFI unit.

Nice, so its still a fairly high compression motor, probably 9.5 to 1. Probably a forged crank and GM pink rods.

kencraft actually got it running, just have to patch tunnel mod and needing a clutch master cylinder, then to the exhaust shop.

kencraft kris its a carbed 350 out of a 70 corvette (actually was a warranty replacement for my vet) totally stock inners just has alum intake,headers, Edlebrock carb HEI gm ignition, headers, and some pretty stuff on it.

Chevy V8 swap exhaust

Hi all, I am swapping in a 350 carbed engin into my tj and was wondering if anybody has a good solution for manifolds or headers, other than the high dollar conversion headers. I am using Advance Adapters mounts. has anyone tried the mid length truck or Camaro headers????
