Cstew Welcome to the forum.

If you need help installing the lift, let me know. I did a Rubi spring/shock swap on mine until I can save enough for a lift. It would only take 3-4 hours to install it. Just thought I would offer to help.

I'm in the Springs by the way.

Wow. I just received my krawler budget boost for $200. :/ The Rancho kit is a great way to go with shocks! :o

xirtic I am a big fan of coil lifts over spacers....this is a personal preference. I wanted 2"....so I ordered Rusty Off-Road 2" Coils and paired them with the Skyjacker m95 Monotube Shocks and new front swaybar links. I look forward to installing this solution soon. It is a $500 solution to get a 2" Coil lift. It fit my needs and budget...and should offer pretty good performance.

chum1600 I ordered that Rancho kit. I'm excited about getting it on the wrangler. Just need to submit my rebate form. There are several pics around the forum of guys that have used this lift. Getting the 9000 shocks with the kit really swayed me to that. Adjustable for whatever driving conditions you are in.

Ours is Made in USA, we keep the cost down by using replacement coils up front and a spacer in the rear, also all new adjustable shocks at all corners... Good luck in your search!

SilverSport As you add weight, springs will compress. How much they compress depends on the amount of weight and the springs themselves. Aftermarket springs are typically taller so even when compressed, they will still be taller than factory springs.

Your factory springs should have a tag on them. Look at the last two numbers on each tag. What are they?

AirBreather Well that just opened a can of worms. Why would the springs sag if I add bumpers and rails. SHould I go another route and if so what would the options be .... I do appreciate the input.....

They work great for what your doing. They just sit on top of your coils, so there's no loss in articulation, you may even gain some down travel with spacers. But if you decide to add bumpers and rails, spacers won't fix the sag that will begin to occur in your springs.

AirBreather I will not be doing any extreme rock crawling. But I do travel forest service forest roads in my quest for the elusive trout and elk. Not to mention searching for gold in some rough areas.

I am going to put on bigger tires and change the factory wheels. And, truthfully, I do think it would look cooler if I raised it a little. As of right now my Jeep does function well. I have not had it very long and want to customize it somewhat....Nothing extreme....

109 Rider I have 2 inch lift kit on my JKUR, and I am very happy with it.
It is AEV. It is very affordable (I bought it through Quadratec, and as a member of this forum, I got free shipping).
It is high quality product, and unlike many out there - it is made in USA.

SilverSport Welcome Aboard! Tell us why you want to lift? Is it just for looks or do you plan to do a lot of off roading? Then we may recommend a lift based on your needs/wants.

jkmohican The OME 2" lift is a high end lift. A lift this size won't be horrible to do, if you have the tools and jacks. Its a lot easier to find 2.5" lifts than 2" lifts for JKs. Teraflex, OME, Rancho, Rock krawler are all good. Rough country and sky jacker are the budget lifts. Remeber, you get what you pay for. These lifts are anywhere from 600$-1200$ depending on what's included.

New to this forum, so if needs moved,,, OK.. 2008 Wrangler Sahara Unlimited is my first Jeep. I want to put a 2" Lift Kit on it. I need opinions, What would be good for cost and ease of instalation. I found some I want to afford, but I would like to know which is crap and which good. Brand wise or style wise. Thanks for the assist...
