lynn For reference, the factory carb for the 225 V6 is a Rochester 2G, a very good carb.
There are rebuild guides online if you search.

Can't help you with local Orlando info...

new carb

Does anybody have suggestions where I could get a good used or rebuilt carb here in orlando fl?

lynn 8305 is simply CJ5.

Stock parts are available to swap the 225 V6 (or later Buick 231 from a RWD application) into a 4-cyl ECJ5.

I suggest you go to

Early CJ5.net > Forums

Read/search the Early CJ5 and CJ6 Tech forum.
Over 10 years of posts/threads there talking about restoring and modifying rigs just like yours.
See you there...

muchomacho 8305 are the first 4 digits of my vin does that mean anything to you?
Great info on the engine and other components. How affordable do you think an engine swap for the V6 Dauntless is?
Any advice?

lynn Tarby and RR are correct.

In 1969, the only CJ offered was a CJ5. Available with a 4 cyl F-134 Hurricane or a V6, 225 Dauntless. Standard 3-speed manual transmission (T14) backed by Dana 18 tranfer case. Rear Dana 44 tapered axle, and closed-knuckle Dana 27 front axle.

An upgraded trim package was available, the Tuxedo Park Mark IV, identified by the first digits 8322 on the "VIN".

DJs were also made in 1969, looking identical to a CJ5 except 2WD only. In many cases these DJs were later modified by owners with swapped-in front axles and transfer cases to make them 4WD.

As Tarby said... the best info on the web for your '69 can be found in the forums at EarlyCJ5.net. If you go there, search-and-read, you'll learn more than you can imagine about your rig.

RubiconRich you have a early CJ5 55-71 short nosed CJ in 72 AMC added 3"'s to the nose.

Tarby CJ7 didn't go into production until 1976...you have a CJ5, unless the body is longer, then you have a CJ6. You can get alot of info. over at Early CJ5.net > Forums

If Lynn chimes in on this, he can give you more to go on. He knows more on the earlier models of CJ5, I had an intermediate (72-75 year makes) and am still a member over there. Good bunch of guys and informative if you own a "5".

Identify my cj

I have a 69 cj but is there a way to tell exactly what model it is?
5 or 7?
Are there other models in that year?
