03Ruth Anyone else used the non sub version for an enclosure?

03Ruth Yeah I have read that one. I was just wondering if I could use the console as it is and just put a sub in it without any special mods. The console has the recessed spot for a speaker but isn't the factory designed console for the sub.

spr0k3t There are people who have fabbed their own boxes. Then there are companies who have made boxes for the center console. Just do a little bit of digging and you should find quite a few threads. Then there is the underseat sub mod by SirGCal 2k TJ Project

Enjoy.

For those that have added a sub to your factory console

My jeep didn't come with a factory sub and my console has a blue plastic liner inside. My question is can I put a sub into the console or does it have to be a specific console that is made for the sub? I don't want to use the area behind the seat as I carry tools, jumper cables etc...
