'bout $20 in scrap metal (2"x4"x1/4"). Little cutting, little welding, and there ya go
...and smashes into boulders on the tail nicely

Here's how mine was done.
He cut it, then cut some small pieces and welded them over the holes at the ends... UN-fortunately in Illinois, we have to have bumpers as wide as the body to be street legal.
Soooo, I'm going to have Rick over at trail tubes do some bends for me to add on to what's there now...

Just saw off each side and BAM you got a stubby. Unless you meant something else.
Edit: that wasn't informative at all. After you saw off each side, you make shift your own plastic or something over each side. I seen a couple people just cut them and they looked good.

Custom stubby bumper
has anyone made their own custom stubby bumper? i know i can get the 60 dollar caps but they wont be here by the weekend and im only looking for a temp fix until i buy a new bumper...any ideas?
