possible noew owner of a renegade cj7. some questions

I just sold my yj to justify the new more family friendly jkur. Now I am missing my bouncy rough and ultra fun jeep.
I have friend of a friend oppertunity to buy a renegade cj7 in the next few months. I don't know the details of year or motor miles or how much he is looking for yet. But looks nice on 31s.
My main question is what does the yj share with the 7? I know top and doors will work. Is the suspension the same? Same size springs? Steering components?
Thanks! I really hope to work out a good deal on it this summer.
