STEVE 0 ^ agreed. If you do it yourself you should be able to get a frame from a jeep being parted out for a good price.

camarozz Are you saying that the mechanics are telling you to forget the repair because it needs welding or that it needs excessive welding and a new frame would be better?

If you are doing the work, you can price things and go about getting it fixed, but if you have to have someone do the work, I would pass on it completely.

I found a Jeep YJ the body is in decent shape, strong 6 engine, the guy put new brakes, clutch, interior decent but the frame is rotted. I am getting various feedback from mechanics telling me forget it to it needs welding to it needs a new frame. If I was to get a new frame and save this YJ from being parted out what would that cost?? I live in Northern NJ
