FWIW, we just got an 09 Sahara on Saturday, with almost all the bells and whistles.
We were going to get one in Silver but the salesman stepped out of the office
and we saw the same Sahara sitting in front of the dealership.
We told the salesman, to switch the order to the one in front.
Its what they call Sunburst Orange and has the navigation system.
The system works great.
Havent had it offroad yet but we re happy with it.

I am on the fence as well. I have a lease I would be turning in early if I do it by May 2(That is the true end to EPP according to my dealership.) I have to pay out the lease to do the deal. So I had to look at the discount between the EPP and what they sell for without EPP. I was told it is almost $2000 difference between Invoice and EPP, which makes up for my lease buy out...plus leaves some extra.
The sales guy here stated since Jeeps are a year round seller the rebates usually do not get too high, and will not get high enough to cover the difference getting to EPP.
I go tomorrow morning to work with the dealership and they stated they will show me all the paperwork on the vehicle pricing. The vehicle we have picked out is actually a state over so we have to have a day or two for them to go get it as well.

|trbizwiz||Mark, new member here. i have been lurking. DO you think if they get rid of EPP they will offer a better rebate than $1000, adn longer 0% terms. I am really on the fence. If I sell my V rod, by thursday, it would be an easy descision to just grab the deal. BUt If not I kind of need to wait. BUt i hate to end up spending a lot more down the road if I do wait.|

You can add one, but it's expensive. This setup is for an '09 Patriot, but is pretty close to what it'd cost you. This is straight from the parts counter, no discounts:
Radio: 5064401AJ $2,225
To add uConnect: 82211743 (Adapter, radio)- $41, 82211666 (wiring adapter)- $108
To add iPod interface: 82211853- $87.15
You can also order the deck (RER) through Mopar Accessories online, but the price isn't much different, and I'm not sure what all is included. Check with your local parts guy.
Plan B would be look for a take-off- they're around every now and then, and the install isn't that hard. Figuring out all the features takes way longer Mark W.

I had an awsome blue TJ and I put stainless mirrors,and hindges,now I have a YJ buggy.I like it much better than my PRETTY TJ,but at least I don't worry about scratches,and no payments

Yeah, the front bumper, especially without fog lights like ours (grumble grumble) is kinda meh. Just remember if you're adding a heavy bumper and winch you may need to do a leveler kit. Unless you're planning to lift it anyway, then do HD springs, and you're golden Mark W.

Well, I am not planning on paying cash for the whole thing.....not sure where you got that impression... --- I am trading in & cash down for more than half. I figure I will end up with about $14k financed. I am not sure what you mean that the salesman will make $ on 0% --- I will probably do longer than that just for kicks....Supporting the local business, not buying used and keeping the money in the local economy is my main drive. I was a little upset about not qualifying for military discount as I was told I must have 20+ years or still be active.....that seems a tad bit restrictive....but that is OK.
Definitely like the black wheel fenders..........I was just thinking about adding some Purejeep bumpers --- didn't really like the front bumper ---- looks a tad cheap and economical -----

Hey- I've been away for a few days (working on my Subaru- stupid evil car!). In terms of 0% giving us less wiggle room, that's probably not true. The salesman can play with your payment if you finance, so you SHOULD get a better deal with cash simply because we can't hide any $$ in your payment- even at 0%, look at what the TOTAL financed would be- it likely was more than the cost of the car with TTL... yeah, he was trying to screw you
Andy, one thing to consider- the plastic vs. painted fenders- if you're going to be brush-hogging your JK, plastic is the way to go. On the downside, the plastic NEVER gets properly clean! If you want your rig to clean up nice for the in-laws or wifey, go Sahara and get painted.
If you can get 0% at 36 months, go for it- that way, your salesman is happy because he actually makes a buck, the bank makes a buck, and you still get a sweet deal. A cash deal only benefits you. No disrespect, but it sounds like you have the bank for it, so you might as well help the economy a little bit, and help your local starving sales people! Despite what some people seem to think, we're not ALL evil (some certainly are), and we NEED to make money A. for the BUSINESS (it IS a business, we can't give cars away), and B. to eat! Even at a dealership like mine where we get a base weekly pay, it's usually less than $300 a week- NOT MUCH So please, feed your local salespeople, folks

Have to say, it looks like you really did well on your purchase. I guess it pays to shop around. When I purchased mine originally, they were not wheeling and dealing too much in November of 07. Still happy though. I don't look back. Only forward to the fun that I'm having.

|dcrna||I ended up getting it for $7646 under MSRP, not sure that they had much more room to give me cash back had I paid cash. I did however negotiate it as a cash deal up front, then told them that I wanted to just do the 0% financing.|

|jk'n||They don't charge additional fees for the 0% but what they don't tell you is they will give a cash kickback or discount if you pay cash due to the fact that you are not using the 0% finance. The finance of 0% is a trick that sales people to use to make the deal seem more sweet. Don't use it and it gives them wiggle on the price.|

|jk'n||Mine is a bank finance, 1/3 down, five years to get the payments down a bit 6.25% which the dealer could not match at the time. If I remember correctly, if you do bank finance, they will kick in the dollar amount that represents some difference between 0% financing and their regular finance because with a bank loan, technically, you are paying the dealership cash.|
