WOKNROX To be a direct swap ur lookin for an axle that is 60"wide wide, a lug pattern of 5x4.50
And if ur still spring under....then spring under purches ....I'm not sure of ur gears but unless u've changed them....more then likely there 3:54s
This is why the only real direct swap d44 is one from an Xj
Hope this helps

Sikwitit328 Well I currently have 4.56 gearing so finding an 44 with that gearing is like a needle in ( ya know). So already planning a gear swap. Any preference on gear brand I should know?

91badass Brakes, shock mounts, spring mounts are the easy fixes, You need to make sure the width and the bolt pattern, and gear ratio is what you need, thats the stuff that can cost you alot of money.

Sikwitit328 Well it's listed from an 86 87' Cherokee/Wagoneer. I'll confirm b4 takin the drive. I saw in another write up that they were having problems finding brake shoes that fit. Has anyone else had this issue??

If its out of an Xj Cherokee/Wagoneer ....then its a great candidate for ur Yj ....just possibly shock mounts and axle purches ....if u need axle purches ...get the ones with 3 holes so u can move ur axle back....lots of benefits ...

But if ur getting it from a Fsj wagoneer it'll be 6 lug....and ill need more info on the axle...they come in different widths...

Hope this helps..

Gunner If I remember right that ought to be a near bolt in. But you would most likely get a better answer in the YJ section.
