RockLobstah Thanks for all the comments and the pictures! I'm definitely getting this done and looks like 20-25% is safe. Limits here in MA are 35%

Duramaxxed 20% is the Factory Match Color.

Rvp523 I just got mine done about two weeks ago and the factory tint on the hard top was 25% so I got the front to match that.

MonkeyMonsoon Just take it to a local shop and ask them to match it to the rear. They'll do it for you and since its only two windows they'll get it done quickly and you don't have to leave it there all day.

JScullz As some have said be careful. I bought my 09 JKU from a dealer with front tints and they were illegal. I got pulled over in MA and got a $250 ticket!! (Going to court in April to fight it). Double check local laws before doing it or you might end up stripping it off like me.

Miser I just had this done to mine. My rear hard top has the deep sunscreen factory tinted windows. So I had my front two tinted as dark as Arizona would allow legally. They are not quit as dark as the rear, but very close.
I would recommend that you only tint legally for your State. If you get a ticket, then it can get very expensive, plus you have to pay to get it re-tinted again.

Strokerswild Just remember that there is a bit of tint to the factory door glass as it is. Some states only allow so much total tint. Adding to what's already there can throw you into the illegal zone in some places.

legitposter I've always tinted my fronts very dark, around 15%, here in AZ. I've never had a copy care. Still, I've had no urge to tint the JKU any darker than the not-very-dark factory stuff.

Lowerumble I did mine to match, I think 20%? The shop that did it, told me that it was illegal there (AZ) and that I could get pulled over for it. I told him that the cops in my state (not AZ) weren't concerned about it (they're not). So they threw it on the front for me and sent me on my way. No tickets or comments, or even second looks yet (knock on wood). Know your state laws, but more importantly, know your states enforcement.

mollyg Better check the law in the city you live into see how dark you can go .

Tint to match?

I have a 2013 JK in Rock Lobster with deep tint freedom hard top and want to tint the fronts to match...any advice or thoughts on what tint I should use?
