crittert Check the main forum. I just posted the run.

JoeBot13 Okay I'll keep an eye out and May open! Let me know if you need a hand with anything.

DaK Okay, keep us posted. We will be there.

crittert I'm trying to figure out a date and I haven't heard back from the Wounded Warrior Project either. I'll post up a run soon though. I think the first or last week of May are potential dates I'm looking at for the run.

jeeperdave49 What about a run in November. Veterans day is the 11th, and that is a Monday. Sat, Sun or Monday, or 2 or 3 days. The desert is nice that time of year. Each jeeper donate $20.00 or whats comfortable, and we donate the total to the Vet charity we decide. Just a thought. Dave

Sounds good. That could definitely be one of the runs that weekend.

Warrant is the best rank (in the Army, at least). You get to have all the fun, and you don't have to deal with either the Enlisted or Commisioned versions of their respective b.s. Less admin crap AND you get treated like a real adult.

But seriously, it's great to be regarded as the expert. The Enlisted guys look for your guidance, and the Officer's seek your advice.

Loving this idea. It's a great time of the year to be there and it's convenient for a lot of people. Let's pick a weekend that doesn't conflict with any other events.

crittert Cool. I figured there would be a lot of interest. I have yet to meet a Jeeper that wasn't a red blooded American on here.

I'll solicit the WWP to see if I can make the run an official charity run for tax purposes. Any suggestions as to where, what and how we want to do this? I'm liking the idea of a big bear run. It's convenient for the San Diego folks as well as the Fort Irwin, Edwards Jeepers.

I will also talk to some local shops to see if they would want to sponsor this event in some fashion. I know locally I have Safari Straps, SPOD, Higher Ground Off-Road and Fab, Big Johns Performance, and the Transmission man to name a few. If anyone else wants to, have at it. We could do a raffle and donate the money to WWP.

Just brainstorming here. Let's keep this thread alive.

In my HS classroom for the past 35 years I did not force the students to recite the PoA, but they sure as hell had to stand and be respectful.

JoeBot13 the wwp fundraiser is a killer idea too ... once a run is set i'll use different channels here on post to reach out the the Jeepers/Off-Roaders that aren't on this forum ... and I'm sure some of our marines/air force/navy jeepers on the forum can do the same on their end

I didn't know they were still doing green to gold. You should do it. We need more prior service Officers. If you have any questions about it let me know.
OCS was no joke! I didn't do the Federal course at Benning though. The National Guard takes "care" of their OCS candidates in South Dakota and Alabama.
I thought SERE school was tough. OCS at Alabama kicked my arse..
