|Quinnzeeskimo||With Jeeps its relatively easy to fix them if you have time and money and a welder. You can buy every panel you need and all of the internal doings for relatively cheep. Just remember its better to start with a good foundation and work up from there. Lite stated before you could end up spending ALOT of money on it.|

The Renegades and Laredo's were originally an upgrade packages starting in the early 70's but later turned into just a bunch of dealer applied stickers in later years. Depending on the year, you should expect to see some if not all of the options used in the Renegades which would have included:
As far a I am aware, there are no VIN or Build Codes for the early CJs that specified it to be any particular package like they do with the newer Wranglers so it is a bit up in the air to really know for sure.
I have a Renegade but when I repainted it, went with different year's decal as I liked it better then my original year's decal and wasn't too concerned that it wasn't the correct one.

|2004blacktj||The owner is my boss and it just sits in the apple orchard right now. So I don't think he would charge me much if anything, I would basically be taking a piece of trash of his farm.|

Hey everyone, I was looking to get as much info as I can on the cj renegade. I found one that I would like rebuild. I don't know how many miles it has or if it has rust/rot. (Only got a quick look at it). Right now it's sitting in the woods on my bosses apple farm for god knows how many years. Basically what I want to know is how hard is it to fix rusty patches if it has any, rebuild a transmission, and engine. As well as any tips and information you all have regarding the cj renegade.
( I will try and post a picture of what I would like it to get it looking like in the end )
