Sounds like a great plan. Everyone has their own personal preference and needs. I love the way my 4.5" lift and 37's drive, but I have only owned Jeeps and trucks and don't know any better.
I definitely feel ya on the staying lower part for the dog. I take my dog to the office with me everyday. She is at least 80 to 90 lbs and it gets annoying lifting her up to get in the Jeep everyday.

I replaced 4 water pumps in 18 months and had all kinds of noises that I'm sure the Rubicon will have at some point. I almost went with a Grand Cherokee, but I wanted the off road goodies of the Rubicon.

I'm going to start a new one. I left everything on my old Jeep just so I can start over. Only going with stock suspension, flat fenders, wheels/tires and bumpers. Probably 33 or 35" tires. Leaning towards smaller.

This Rubicon has way more than I ever wanted. It is loaded. Katskin leather, premium sound, 730N. Nicest luxuries I've ever had. A long way from cloth seats and crank windows. Even came with MOPAR headliners.

I will also be keeping the carpet in this time. So quiet inside compared to mine.

DallasJKU I think I will be swapping out my Sport for a Rubicon. Things that will be coming with me are bumpers, MCE fenders, TA seat covers and lights. I don't want AEV suspension or wheels and tires. I think my plan for this build will be add MCE's and go with 35 or even 37's and keep stock suspension. I will also be getting the premium soft top for the HT. This one comes with PW/L and 430N. No leather. I'm going to build this one lower with my old dog in mind. I need creature comforts and want to get rid of the problems of my Sport plus start over on warranty.

I was told they were a good idea with 35's and especially if/when I go 37's.

DallasJKU The TA seat covers are awesome especially for dog fur. I love the storage on them as well.

Not a problem at all for me. No hotter than any other material in TX.

DallasJKU Installed HotHead headliners with Hushmat!!
11-24-2014 01:32 PM
Jurfie Has anyone tried LizardSkin sound control and/or ceramic insulation? Maybe under BedTred?

I had never heard of it until I saw someone using it instead of Dynamat (it is much lighter and easier to install with a spray gun).

It's definitely louder. I run with AEV floor liners which help some. I think LineX would really help with some sound, but probably not as well as carpet and Hushmat. I have a dog so carpet is not an option for me. There are trade off with anything u do with a Jeep. Pull the carpet and put down some liners and see if you can deal with the extra noise. I pulled mine after a week.

DallasJKU Ordered my HotHead headliners with Hushmat strips. They should be here Tuesday. I'm ready for some noise reduction and insulation. Had them before but sold the hardtop. Trying to reduce the noise inside. I don't run carpet because I'm messy and so is my dog. I plan on doing LineX inside the Jeep mainly for vibration dampening and looks. I may do the outside of the HT with LineX as well to make it bulletproof.

They are MCE. They are great and look even better IMO. I could keep the 35's and be happy, but I will add 37's this summer.
