Turns our I had 3.73 and power is fine. Took it to Crown King and table mesa last week with no issues. Got a great deal from discount tires. I bought tires and wheels from them and he got me the Teraflex lift at coat. Paid brake masters to install it and my steering and
Stabilizer bar. Paid less than $3500 for

|JedFromAZ||OP, check out 4 Wheelers Supply in Phoenix. They are off of 35th St and Washington. Don't be deceived by looks because they are an awesome shop. They did my front and rear brake lines, and alignment after I installed my TF 2.5 coil lift. I think they quoted me right around $1000 for the kit, shocks, and install. They are a Rancho sponsor so be prepared to be talked into a set of shocks.|

I am going to throw out my 2 cents ..
My 2012 Pentastar has more than enough ump to handle all my added lift and pounds with the 3.21 gears .. the tuner was just added fun.

You can get the kit itself for as low as $700 or so with shocks. Installation, for an experienced shop, should not take more than 4 hours. So at the price you listed, they are charging $200 per hour for labor. That sounds ridiculous.
Where are you from? Have you checked in your area if there are any Jeep clubs? They may either know of better vendor/installers or may volunteer to help you install it themselves.
I think for those prices they are trying to take advantage but that is just my opinion though.

I've got a 2011 JKUR with the 3.8L. I'm lifting it Monday and going with 35" MT-R's and I've got the appt to re-gear on the 8th because I think it already drags going up into the mountains.
Maybe someone else with experience with the Tera-Flex kits can chime in on the price....

|chuckr||You don't NEED to regear at the same time. You can do the lift and tires and see how it drives to you and then decide if you want to regear later. With the 3.8L, my money is on that you're gonna want to regear....where you live/wheel will also determine the need for regearing as well...keeping the stock gears will be more tolerable if you live somewhere generally flat, but if you live near mountains, be prepared to drag going uphill.|

Is Regearing Neccessary for 2.5 Teraflext Kit on a 2010 Unlimited Sport?
I just started thinking about getting my 2010 Jeep Unlimited Sport lifted. I got a quote for $1500 for a 2.5" Teraflex Spring/Shock Kit installed. The guy said I would need to have my jeep re-geared and that it would cost me another $1800. So my question is am I being told the truth? I had major sticker shock.
I want to put on 17" rims with the Goodyear Wrangler M/T Kevlars (35x12.5). This is my daily driver but I also off road on rocks and dirt.
