The programmer made me use more gas in the performance mode but it had more power. (Pay to Play)
I find myself running 89 a lot of the time because I hear pinging when I climb hills on the freeway in the winter.

|rics1997||The only use I found in 89 over 87 at least in my area is the winter bend. Seems my Jeep runs better and gets a little better fuel mileage during the winter months with 89 and go back to 87 in the Spring.|

|Cold||higher octane has less energy. The only reason to run higher octane in a stock jeep is if you use a programmer to advance the timing. Other then that you will get more out of the lower octane gas.|

87 vs 89/91 vs 93
Any one done any testing to see what kind of mpg they are getting with the different octanes?
