Joedinglenut Update

Yes in 1998 the wrangler got longer front springs. The ride height was the same so I guess the newer longer springs were softer

I ordered some '98 springs and used them on my 97 and I couldn't tell a difference other than they were new and not sagging

1997 original Front springs shorter than 1998-2006?

Ok I did a search and couldn't find anything.

But I measured my original stock 1997 front springs as 16 inches long. I know they are probably sagging some.

I also found a replacement set of OEM springs on eBay and the auction says that the 97 Jeep Wrangler front springs only measured 16 inches long while the 1998 - 2006 measured 17 inches long.

Does anyone know if the 97 TJs had shorter front springs?

Thanks
