So I should tell Mike I'll sell my little slot car (Infiniti G35 Coupe) if I can Supercharge my JKU, then I can have the speed I don't want to give up along with all the versitility of my car I wonder how that will work?? I can tell him I got the idea from all of you on here........

A common lifted Ripp'd jku in glamis will be slower than a stock motored jku on coilovers and not to mention much more comfortable. And without the problems of a RIPP.

I can't wait till glamis season.... I've been ITCHIN to go riding!

If you don't open the throttle blades then no matter what kind of compressor your using you won't see any appreciable boost. No air in no extra boost. So for crawling it is pretty much a non entity. A Hemi or LS motor will have more low down grunt just due to the extra cubes. A Roots style Blower like the Magnason unit even with the new High twist rotors still has a internal leakage problem due to not being able to completely close the air path from the inlet to the exhaust inside the blower. That lets the air move slightly in both directions. It also does not internally compress the air. The boost happens inside the manifold which lowers the efficiency at high speed. A turbo works great but I don't want all the heat soak issues they have on a hot summer day in the desert.
A Vortech is a true supercharger having the ability to compress the air inside the unit with out having the bleed back issues of a Roots. It does come on softer which I think is great because I don't want a big hit of power while climbing. But at Glamis or Pismo it would let me run in 4 wheel high with the power to pull and not be in 4 to 1 low. And for the street it would be sweet. Hey Joe what do you think a Ripp powered Jeep would do on that lake bed??

I was planning on something simpler. I'm planning on having a dealer come in with rails, stocks, tubes, ect. Maybe some blanks so if your just interested in putting one together or have one and want to try other things. Is just a way to mess around and have a good time ask stupid question and be comfortable being made fun of. All the other details can be discussed human to human. Just to let you know. I will inspect you clear your piece if complete as soon as the case is opened. And all bolts out while tinkering.

Lab Lover I think Adrian, Jeepherz husband, has a Vortech on his G35 Sedan
He's really knowledgeable about such things and if you have any questions he may be of some help.
