I just put a 3" suspension lift on my 2010 Wrangler with 1.5" spacers. Was on here looking to see if 35" tires would be okay with this and not rub...it seems that is the case, correct?
By the way, the Daystar lift kit I used was a pain to install (lack of instructions) but rides really good. I was a little nervous about it but am really please with it so far.

A 3'' body lift on a JK would look ridiculous and really serve no purpose. You would have huge gaps between the cab and the frame visible through the wheel wells. Don't forget that the bumpers are attached to the frame so the cab body will be 3" higher than your bumpers.
I have the RC 1.25'' body lift with a 2.5'' suspension lift and it's been a great combination. Hard to even tell that there's a body lift at all.
Start with an inexpensive leveling lift.

|kaduda||Awesome! Thanks, I think that puts me in the right direction. The 2.5 Teraflex Budget Boost allows up to 35 inch tires. I assume I would have to look into new wheels as well to fit that, right?|

For a Daily Driver a 2.5" Performance budget boost such as TeraFlex will give you the look and performance for onroad and light Offroad. Under $500 and you are good to go.

|jrussblues||A body lift creates space between the frame and tub. The reason nobody runs one on a jk is because there is no real redeeming performance gain. A 3" body lift requires a lot of $$ to install for several reasons. A spacer lift would be a much more economical solution.|

I won't be doing any heavy off-roading, so it's mainly for looks.

Do you mean suspension lift? Don't think anyone makes a 3" body lift. Not too many people will suggest any type of body lift for a Jk.
What is the purpose of your lift. ??
- bigger tires show only on Daily Driver
- Daily Driver little bit of Offroad
- full Offroad
- rock crawler

2012 Stock Wrangler Lift Tires Wheels
Hi there. I have a 2012 Wrangler Sport. I have read through several threads an am looking for a more comprehensive answer to the direction I should head. Everything is stock and am interested in getting a 3 inch body lift installed. The question is, what is the maximum size tire that would fit with this adjustment and what aftermarket size rim do I need to look at for the new tires. I also wouldn't mind a wider sized tire, just not sure if that means a different size rim or more adjustments to be made. This may be a very elementary question, but I really know minimal about this stuff.
