YJ325i Turns out , he has the v6. Since its a 71 should be the the buick 225. Does that change anything? The frt axles have trunions. The tub and frame are pretty rough. Anyone every get that motor to fit in a YJ..lol

A 71 should still be running the D18 so yes, there could be an overdrive but that should be more than obvious. However, not that common to find those. Same for finding a PowrLoc in either axle. Those, at least IMO, are still the best of the limited slips.

duffer I believe that should have the 30 spline, flanged, D44 off-set rear axle which is the most desirable of the factory axles for use with a D18 transfer case. Transmission behind the F head is probably the T90, rather than the more desirable T14 and of limited value. A lot of the pieces will have value to the people restoring the older CJ 5/6's.

I would join and place a classified add at:

'71 CJ parts

A customer of mine has a '71 CJ5 completely torn apart at his garage...tub off, axles off, etc. It has a factory 4 cyl. prob 3 spd. He wants to sell it all. I have a '95 YJ, don't think there is much I could use. But anything I could look for that would be of value??
