|spinlock||I like every Jeep I've had more than my previous one but the pricing is out control. Stock JKs can approach the $50K threshold and you can buy a lot of solid vehicles for that price.|

Like: off-road capability when I need it (which unfortunately isn't often enough), ability to personalize, the way it looks, top off fun, the Jeep community
Dislike: owned my first almost a year and can't think of a single thing

Like- The feeling I get every time I pull myself into it.
Big like- Having the top and doors off, looking up and seeing the blue sky.

Like - It continues to impress me in that it will do way more than I'm willing to. I've yet to find its limits.
Dislike - how the engine lugs in trying for max economy. I use the tip shift (auto) often. Just wish there was a mode button to change the pattern, like some vehicles have.

|lando76||I like the new engine, dislike the auto torque converter going from second to third loses rpms and power.|

My full size Extended Wheel Base GMC Van with a 6.0 and Cooper tires gets better fuel economy than my 2014 Rubi X

|wat3rdog||Not trying to be rude but I like the little things that jeep seemed to fix for the 2013's. I have auto head lights and I don't have to buy one of those stupid clips to keep the dome lights off when the doors come off. The seat warmers seem to be working great. They work better then the wifes 07 Toyota. There are a few other little things that escape me at the moment but its nice knowing that an auto maker seems to pay attention. There's still room to improve but every little bit is a step in the right direction.|

What I like the most:
I haven't a clue. I'm still waiting on my new 2013 JKUR.
What I dislike the most:
I hate that they didn't offer a gray color for my choices of interior. Had to go with black. Gray would have been nice with my white exterior color choice.

VWs...my next door neighbor has a '57 oval window safari top bug in his back yard waiting to be restored. I'd love to get my hands on that. Too bad his cats kept wandering into my yard though....they were dispatched by my dogs without haste unfortunately.
Back on track...
Love the aftermarket availablity of just about every part
Hate that I have a 6spd that likes to pop out of 1st occasionally.

things i dislike the most:
(keep in mind this thing MSRP in mid to upper $30k)crappy headlights, heated seats are under powered, they def. didn't splurge on the carpet i see why so many tear it out, MPG is better than previous models but i think it could be better (not a huge deal though, i still only fill up twice a month). the center console is wiggly. the fact that they don't come with support in the middle back seat.
things i like the most:
the jeep life. premium soft top. doors off. unmatched offroad performance. 6 speed. back seats drop down easily and quickly. all the mods available. being up high. smiles per gallon. the fact that this vehicle will NEVER be boring. i could go on and on
|05-03-2013 09:07 AM|
Like-EVERYTHING, this is my first Jeep and I should have bought one 15 years ago.
Dislike-I haven't had enough time to take a nice long roadtrip with the top and doors off

I still have a lot of hates... (heated seats that don't work in extreme cold, crappy stock headlights, horrible mpg, remote start that always turns the compressor on, rear seats that are torture, doors that swing back closed as I'm trying to load stuff....and the big one....mods cost too much.
But even more love....
So it is all good....
Worst time to order a Jeep? October (if you live up north)...because you won't pick it up until November....and that means you miss out on a lot of the Jeep "fun" until spring time.
I've become in expert at quickly removing and installing freedom panels. I've also quit caring about scratches on the tops of them from storing them. Getting them in the bag is too much work (and they no longer easily fit in the rear with the Tuffy enclosure), so in the back seat (at stop lights) they go.
Love riding with all 4 windows down and the freedom panels off. Can't wait to get the softtop and spiderweb shade installed. Warm days make the wait so worth it.

Regarding the above, and the whole tree hugging debate that's provided entertainment about here, I have one basic observation.
I think the hate that gets sent the Jeep way isn't grounded in any logical argument of economy, rather the offense taken is actually based on the shape of the rear door. The parallel to the Humvee is obvious, and since the Humvee is the lightning rod for the eco-movement, the Jeep gets the association.
In reality most pickups are about the same efficiency, and a majority are taller and longer. In fact, I'll go out on a limb and point out that some mini vans are at the same height.
The JKU isn't a big vehicle, it just has a funny shaped rear door.

I hate when tree hugging hippies stare at me at the gas station shaking their heads watching me fuel up, while they put $3 in a 1974 vw bug that is rusting away and is leaking oil on the ground. I mean literally their car had more freaking stickers than actual paint.
I love when I drive past those same hippies an hour later done the interstate. They are pulled over on the side with smoke coming out of their hood and coolant leaking on ground. While I am cruising with the top off and no worries. Thinking use one of those damn stickers to patch the radiator and keep moving hippies.

Cons: gas mileage & having my office window overlook the parking lot where my Jeep is parked. Makes the day drag on thinking about wanting to drive it.
Pros: Everything, but I especially love seeing another guy drive by with his family in a mini-can or less capable SUV and just stare longily as I pass. Would make for a great commercial.
