You will notice the holes on the driver's side that compliment the holes on the passenger side. That will be the location of the tire carrier mounting brackets.

Are you going with a Poison Spyder tire carrier, or Gen-Right? That's what it looks like with all those holes.

jgorm Awesome jeep! I really like the rear bumper. I'm finally sold on a rear bumper after looking for years.

Do it. No excuses. Unless the wife says no. I'll understand.

Very cool. Now I have not lost hope in my TJ being that this has been a 4 year transformation and is still not completed.

Subbed for sure.

TXST8tj In Jeep related news....since there hasn't been much of that lately....I got the corner guards installed as well as the passenger side rocker guard. I just ran out of steam and time between that, working on the cart, and getting some of the garage cleaned.

I'll get the drivers side rocker done in the next day or two.

I have a small oil leak. Need to figure that out before I try to do any off-roading.

Thanks! I wouldn't say cheap, but it is all relative to where you live I guess.

Mostly finished with the golf cart....everything to get it registered and drive it as much as we like.

We drove it around a lot this weekend for neighborhood 4th festivities and trips to the pool.

Still have to install the fender flares, the heavy duty reversing contactor, 400amp controller, and HD solenoid.

Waiting for a custom bracket for an LED lightbar I have to install on it.
Also going to put a cheap stereo in it.

TXST8tj 4.88s with the 4cyl and 5spd and a 33" tire will perform like stock.
With 35s, it is completely tolerable, but I do find myself wanting a little more juice.

I think if you are running 35s with the same 4cyl setup I have, it's really the best you can do without swapping axles, so it really doesn't matter how pleasant it is....cause that is as good as it's going to get.
With that said, I would be fine daily driving it with the current setup.

Are the 4.88's good for highway use? As a daily driver and such? How are the RPM's?

TXST8tj So I am just about done with the "other" project, so my wife is happy and I can get back to the Jeep.
(It just happens to match my Jeep )

Just have to install the head and tail lights and it will be ready for inspection and registration, then will be street legal and they can drive it around the neighborhood.

LED lightbar and performance mods to come.....parts in hand, but not install priority.

By the way.....this is how it started

TXST8tj I bought this bottle on eBay a while back. I can't find it listed anymore, but it is just a universal bottle with built-in pump.
The stock bottle will work actually, but this one is much smaller making it less crowded under there.
I will have to snap an installed picture.

The MT/Rs are 35".

For the intake, I bought a Spectre universal builder/DIY intake kit and just made up an elbow to get it working.
I am planning to get the Spectre cowl intake kit. I was going to make it myself with what I have, but the pieces are all plastic and I don't feel like investing that much time in something like that.
06-14-2014 09:28 AM
GoldenSahara00 What washer fluid bottle did you go with and what are you doing for temporary intake? I'm gona look through and see if I can find it.

Also what size are your MTRs?

Looking real good, making me excited for all my junk to come in!

Doodle [QUOTE=TXST8tj;9598746]The holes for the accessories are not predrilled. The mounting of all of that is up to the end user. Not everything fits with this setup. The stock airbox won't work (cleanly) nor will the stock washer fluid bottle (cleanly). I have been running a temporary intake setup for a while now. It will eventually be run through the cowl. I also have a smaller washer bottle to mount. There should not be much issue with mounting everything else.

I will certainly post pictures after I get everything lined out.

Patrick- Great write up and good looking jeep.

I am currently installing the same PSC fenders and was wondering if you had an issue with remounting evap system - could you just remount it or have you had to be ingenious around that one aswell?

If you have pictures that would be cool?

It has a Dana rear axle, but it's not a jeep.

Made some good progress on it today. Will post some pics soon.
