CJ-John No the AMC 20 is all stock so I haven't invested anything in it except wheel bearings. I know the 20 is a good rear end once you put 1 pc. axles in it. How much wider are the wide tracs? John

NHflannelman12JK76CJ5 have you already beefed up the AMC20?

4Jeepn Seems like an okay deal.. you get a stronger rear axle.. get a wider bit wider stance.

Widetrac D-44 Swap?

I have a chance at a D-44 rear and D-30 front axles complete for about $400. I currently have AMC 20 and Dana 30 narrow trac. I'll have to regear as the widetracs are 2.73 so it's basicly a pair of housings for me. The long term plate is stay with my stock 304, a T-5 trans and 4.11's with a max tire size of 33's mostly dd and easy trail riding. will this extra width be noticeable driving I plan to use an OME YJ 2.5" lift and it's over 2,000 miles to moab (the reason for the T5) Any thoughts? Thanks, John
