BAP stealership woes,,,,sorry for your problems, but after years of working in a jeep dealership thats how it works,,,even though the newer jeeps are very nice i love the old yj,s and cj,s for off roading,,,way less to worry about,,,,,,just my opinion...

best of luck,,,,

termite Sounds more like they are trying to make a case so they do not have to do any warranty repairs.

Blastek The auto transmission can only get water in if you dipped it below the breather tube. The breathers aren't that high, so it sounds like you sucked in some water. That has nothing to do with electronics.

What I would do is take the jeep back immediately, drain the trans ( i mean really drain it) and replace the filter+refill. Then take it to a jet wash and hose everything (especially the brake/wheel area).

Water in the ABS "circuitry"? Sounds like dealer BS to me. Clean off the alternator and it should be fine.

Please help, Jeep got muddy?!?

I received a call today from dealer, "call your insurance agent"!? I went off road'n with my son in my '12 JKUR, small hills, rocks & MUD! Knee deep or so... it goes without say'n on this forum "a blast" love my new Jeep! The next day after washing it would not shift properly. I took it to the dealer. They called today and suggested I call my insurance, informing me "there is water in the transmission, some mud in the intake, water in the ABS circuitry and mud in the alternator?!?" Looking to the forum to let me know on the other side of this life event a Jeep can take more off road'n than what I gave it...?? Is it a sign of times with all the electronics? Was this bad luck?

PS: I grew up on a cotton/rice farm in AR, mudding involved deep water & mud 'til it ran in the doors. Other than the occasional wet distributor cap, there were never any issues. A tractor to pull us out and a local car wash to clean us up! Did I take today's electronics for granted?
