lynn Next time it's windy, take a a 4x8 sheet of plywood or cardboard outside.
That will approximate the side profile of your Jeep... but smaller.
Hold the plywood against the wind.
Get a feel for the wind force exerted on the side of your Jeep.

Yes, the wind will push your Jeep around... and it really doesn't take much wind to feel it. Front or side, a Jeep has the aerodynamics of a barn door.

EquinsuOcha I went from a Lexus IS to the Jeep Wrangler Unlimited and this is one of things I noticed as well. You got to admit, the Jeep is not very aerodynamic so it kinda makes sense that it would have difficulty at high speeds, not to mention when windy.

I was driving back from Vegas once at night and the winds were so high that I saw probably 5-6 turned over big-rigs turned over on their side.

2012 Jeep Unlimited Wobbles on Hwy when Windy

My 2012 Jeep Unlimited seems wobbly/unstable on the highway when its windy while driving above 65mph.

Is this common? Or should I take it to the dealer to get the suspension checked? I purchased it new so maybe its defective.

Some people telling me that this is common because of the square design. However, that makes no sense to me.
